It will replace all existing instances of a block with the new, edited version (or an entirely different block, if that's what you need). AutoCAD Electrical has a special tool for this, Swap/Update Block. Setting I want (These are shown using the project. Original settings (not what I want, and not what is currently shown in the DWT file, but is what is being used) When I try to update the drawings using title block update, it keeps using the original associations. I'm not sure why I can't update the WDT file. However, like I said, when I input the descriptions on the project, and do a title block update, they still populate the wrong fields. I opened the WDT file directly with notepad, and it too shows the correct associations. However, the WD_TB text block in the block editor is showing the right associations, just not using them. dwt, then opened a new project, with a new drawing using this template, and it too still has the wrong associations.

However, the old line associations still remained.

This showed the line associations as they really are, not how I wanted them to be. Second, I tried modfying the block using block editor, then selected "title block setup" using the WD_TB attribute setup. However, when I setup the descriptions, and do a title block update, it retains the old line associations, and fills the wrong attributes with the data. WDT file, and it seems to take line associations. I've tried multiple ways to update the lines associated with an attribute on my title block, but it never seems to work.įirst, I tried simply using the "Title Block Setup" under project other tools. I'm having a wierd issue with my DWT file. This is a problem that has stumped me for two days.

Its been a long time since I've used Autocad Electrical so I'm refreshing myself on everything.
